Following Danny Boyles footsteps, Mathias Duplessy, the music director of the film, The Falling, has got three kids, who sing in Mumbai local trains for a living, to sing for the film, which is Amir Khans Production.

The three kids Durga (12), Nagarjuna (17) and Bramendra (18) have sung under Mathias guidance for the film, which is about farmers suicide, and is directed by Anusha Rizvi. Mathias found the three kids and discovered that they make a living out of singing in trains. He offered the kids a chance to work with him and they readily agreed. The kids have also been offered a chance to sing about six-seven songs in a foreign production film for which Mathias is working.

Aamir is impressed with their talent. He and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the producer of 3 Idiots, along with their wives had a small party at Vidhus house where the children showcased their talent. Mathias had accompanied the kids there. He states that he met the children three years ago through a director. He liked their voices and he finds them very energetic.

Mathias calls Durga the princess of the group and Nagarjuna, the lead singer. Bramendra too has a good voice, as he puts it. Their voices have blended well with the harmonium, according to Mathias.
