Seminar On Youth Leadership in Mangalore
DIVO Illustrated Konkani Weekly, a sister publication of The Secular Citizen organised its annual seminar ‘Leaders in The Making and Reaching to The Top’ on 23rd January 2011 at Belthangady, Mangalore. This was their 8th seminar in Mangalore.
There were four resource persons who covered the full day seminar on four different topics. Mr. Albert W. D’Souza of St. John’s Group of Colleges, Printania and Model Bank Chairman, covered the topic on how youth in future can take-up leadership in business and wealth management. Mr. V. P. Lobo, Chairman, T3 Urban Developers Ltd., dwelt in personality as to how a common individual can become an extraordinary person with his talents. Dr. Gerald Pinto, Head of the Department, in Milagris College, Kalianpur gave insight on joining higher government posts like IAS, UPS, etc. Rev. Dr. Ronald Coutinha spoke on optimum use of talents. Rev. Fr. James D’Souza, Parish Priest Most Holy Redeemer Church and Vicar Vara of Belthangady Varado presided and Rev. Fr. Joseph Valiaparambil, Vicar Geral of Belthangady Diocese was the Chief Guest on the occasion. A large number of youth from several parishes in and around Belthangady attended the day long seminar and benefited immensely.
