The Seventh Annual General Body Meeting of Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) was held at Hotel Kohinoor Continental, Andheri East Mumbai-400 059. Mr. Vincent Mathias was instrumental in establishing the Chamber of Commerce. Since he was the Chairman from the inception he felt a need in leadership and Mr. Henry Lobo was unanimiously elected as the Chairman for the next three years.

Bishop Bosco Penha, Auxiliary Bishop of Mumbai was the Chief Guest and Vice Chairman, National Commission for Minorities Mr. Michael P. Pinto (IAS) was the guest of honour on the occasion.

Mr. Vincent Mathias, Chairman of CCCI welcomed the gathering and gave a brief on the Chamber and its activities. Mr. Albert W. D'Souza (Vice Chairman) introduced Mr. Michael Pinto IAS, and Mr. John D'Silva (Vice Chairman) introduced Bishop Bosco Penha.

The Annual Excellence Awards for Industry, Public Service and Social Service were announced and presented to the awardees. Mr. Antony Rasquinha, M.D Electropneumatics & Hydraulics (India) P. Ltd, received the Excellence Award for Industry, Mr. Allan C.A Pereira CMD Bank of Maharastra for Public Service and Mr. Abraham Mathai, Vice Chairman of State Minorities Commission for Social Service.

Henry Lobo, Agnello Rajesh Athaide and Johnson Therattil introduced the Awardees. Bishop Bosco Penha administered the oath of office to the New Chairman Mr. Henry Lobo, who in his maiden address promised to take the chamber to greater heights.
The outgoing chairman Mr. Vincent Mathias thanked the chamber and assured them of his help and support at all times.

Directors Lawrence Coelho, William Sequeira, Agnello Rajesh Athaide, Johnson Therattil, Randolf Alves, Antony Sequeira, Augstino G Fernandes as well as committee advisors Antony Rasquinha, A P Kurian, Aloysius Aguar, Executive Secretary Alphonsus Corda were also present. Mrs. Pramila V. Mathias, Mrs. Gladys J. D'Silva and Mrs. Elvina A. D'Souza honoured the dignitaries by presenting flower bouquets.

The function was well attended by members and guests. Kenneth Sequeira and Vernon V. Mathias Compered the Programme. Chamber Executive Secretary S. S Swamy proposed vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
