Remembering With Love & Affection Late Smt. Mercy Vayalar Ravi

Remembrance day of the beloved wife of congress leader & Union Cabinet Minister Hon'ble Shri. Vayalar Ravi's was observed in Mumbai at St. Mary's Junior College Hall on 28th November, 2009 at 7.00 pm onwards. The function was organized by Smt. Alice Johnson Therattil in her Kalina ward under the banner of Mumbai Malayalee Congress. H. E. Rt. Rev. Mar Thomas Themotheos Bishop of Jacobite Syrian Church shared his past experience with Late Smt. Mercy Ravy in his word. H. E. Rt. Rev. Dr. Jacob Barnabas Bishop of Syrian Malankara Church also expresses his grief through his words of experience with her. V. Rev. Msgr. Jacob Poruthur vicar general of Kalyan diocese showed the grief on behalf of the diocese of Kalyan and appealed for the support of Hon'ble Shri. Vayalar Ravi for the progressive works the diocese is doing for the development of community in Maharashtra. Hon'ble Shri. Suresh Shetty Cabinet Health Minister of Maharashtra had opportunity to work with Late Smt. Mercy Ravi in the past & his goodself communicated his sad feelings to the gathering. Similarly MRCC President & MLA of Kalina Constituency turned his feelings of grief on this observation day and thanked Smt. Alice Johnson Therattil choosing Kalina for this remembrance gathering in his constituency. Smt. Alice Johnson Therattil welcomed the participants assembled around one thousand plus for the meeting & Mr. Philip Kuruvilla President Mumbai Malayalee Congress presided over the function. Mr. S. R. Kulkarni Veteran Trade Unionist, Mr. R. R. Krishnan C.P.I. leader, Mr. Johnson G. Therattil Social Worker and All India Printing Ink Manufacturer Association President, Dr. K. K. Damodaran, Lion Kumaran Nair and Mr. Anto Puthiri secretary addressed the gathering. Hon'ble Shri. Vayalar Ravi replied & thanked the remembrance gathering of Mumbai Malayalees.
