Vile Parle Stn (W) Skywalk -Protest by Residents,Shopkeepers against haphazard work
Vile Parle MLA Krishna Hegde will join residents and shop keepers in protesting against the haphazard way in which the Vile Parle (W) Skywalk is being constructed.
"We are not against development and progress but neither safety measures nor utility factors are taken care of. I had visited the site 5 days ago and was assured that barricading will be done and all dangerous material will be removed from the road" said Krishna Hegde.
"The skywalk is delayed by over 3 months already .The drainage pipes are damaged and the people in the areas are getting contaminated and dirty water. This should be rectified immediately and the contractor should be pulled up for this. Water stagnation is also giving rise to malaria and dengue cases." Hegde added.
Residents and Shop keepers who are facing the brunt of this haphazard work will join the protest in large numbers at Vile Parle (W) Station Rd, Bajaj Rd Junction on Sat, 21st Nov at 11 am.
