Mumbai International Children Film Festival-2009
The Mumbai International Children Film Festival 2009 began on 6th November at the National Center of the performing arts, NCPA Marg, Mumbai, at the 6:00 pm IST.
This much awaited Festival is inaugurated by the Hon. Minister of State Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, Dr. S. Jagathrakshan. The high profile opening of this seven days long festival will witnessed some of the biggest names from the Indian and World Cinema including-Academy Award Winner Ms. Megan Mylan, Mr. Amole Gupte, Mr. Subhash Ghai, Mr. Pritish Nandy, Father of Indian Animation Mr. Ram Mohan, Ms. Uma Da Cunha and Mr. Robert Reece. Mr. Atalay Tasdiken, Director of Mommo-The Bogeyman will also become a part of the festival along with his crew. As children's Day approaches, presumably, Ryan Foundation has arranged the best gift children can ever have.
Ryan Foundation proudly unveiled exclusive, yet imperative, experience for our upcoming generation. This fiesta will operate as a podium to exhibit World Cinema to our children and consequently, stimulate their thoughts. It will create an exceptional opportunity for over 1,50,000 children of Mumbai to watch approximately 150 Children films from 30 Countries.
