URGENT PRESS STATEMENT

CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY MISSED AT BEING RECOQNISED BY CONGRESS PARTY IN ALLOCATION OF TICKETS FOR ITS PEOPLE FOR THE MAHARASHTRA ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS.

Every time during elections the congress party totally ignores the Christian community and refuses to give political space by not allocating seats for the elections whether it is for Lok Sabha or Assembly or the corporation in Mumbai and Maharashtra .

The Bombay Catholic Sabha demands at least 5%of the total seats for the forthcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra.

The Bombay Catholic Sabha has requested 2 seats for Mumbai, one for Ms Janet D'Souza and second for the Malad/Orlem constituency no 162.

In the event this does not happen the BCS will explore along with other NGO's and activists the possibility of fielding good and honest candidates in the various parts of the city of Mumbai to make its presence felt.
