Chairman of Birla Group Shri Rajashree Birla,  chief guest of the occasion, inaugurated the 37th annual day celebrations and presented the Awards.

Giants International Awards – 2009, were presented to Grace Pinto, a renowned Mangalorean educationist and managing director of Ryan International group of educational institutions, Capt C P Krishnan (Hotel industry and enterprise), Dr Rajnikant Arole (Social service), Dr H G Desai (Medicine), Rajdeep Sardesai (Electronic media), bollywood actors Shahid Kapoor and Asin (Arts) and Surya Krishnamurti (Culture), on this occasion.

Giants International chairman Nanachudasama, Nooruddin Safewala and renowned designer Shaina N C were present on the dais.

Former MP Jayantiben Mehta, MLA Raj Purohit, renowned Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas, Prof Nandini Sardesai, Yogesh Labani, Mohammed Nadabai Bahrain, Sanjeev Gupta and Giants International representatives from all over the world were present at the occasion.
