Mother Mary's Birthday Celebrated  At Amboli

Maharastra Konkan Association Celebrated, Mother Mary's birthday in Divine Kiddies Hall on Ceasars Road at Amboli (Andheri East)

Traditionally decorated Mother Mary's statue brought in procession by the members while tiny tots offered flowers to venerate the Mother Mary.  Rev. Fr. Hubert Gonsalves Asst., Parish Priest St. Pius church, Mulund blessed the  paddy grains and offered thanksgiving mass and preached the homily to lead a morally good life. He distributed candles to honour the donors and members  of the association.

On the occasion certificates are distributed to students who have excelled in their exams.

The dignitaries and guests present on the dais were, President of Fudar Prathistan Mr. John  D'Silva, Alert India's Director Mrs. Stella Mancheril, Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry  President Mr. Vincent Mathias, Konkani Bhasha Mandal Maharastra Unit  Honorary Secretary, Mr. Lawrence  D' Souza Kamani, Aircare  Executive Director Mr. John Rebello, Industrialist  Mr. Herald Castelino, and Divo Konkani weekly  Editor Mr. Lawrence Coelho. Others Present on the occasion include Konkani Bhasha Mandal Maharstra Unit President Mr. P. N. Shanbag, Industrialist Mr. Michael Monteiro, Mrs Susan Coelho, Amigo Director, Mrs. Pramila V. Mathias, Musician Victor Concessio, Mrs. Tara R. Bantwal and others.

Traditional meals were served on Banana leaves.  Maharastra Konkan Associations President Mr. Walter D' souza welcomed the gathering secretary Mr. Leo Fernandes Compered the programme  Former President,  Mrs. Benedicata B. Rebello introduced  the guests. Honorary Secretary Mr. Vincent Castilino and  members  Mr. Philip D' souza, Mr. Stany D'Souza were present Vice President Mr. John B.
