Delegation of Konkani Bhasha Mandal Maharashtra meets Honourable Minister Shri Suresh Shetty
President of Konkani Bhasha Mandal Maharashtra Shri P. N. Shanbhag, Vice President Shri John D'Silva, Gen Secretary Shri Lawrence D'Souza-Kamani, Asstt. Treasurer Shri Leo Fernandes Jerimeri and Shri Walter D'Souza Jerimeri met Honourable Minister, Government of Maharashtra, Shri Suresh Shetty at his office in Adhere on August 6th, 2010 and submitted a memorandum demanding a Konkani Bhavan, Konkani Academy and a yearly grant for organizing Konkani Drama Festival in Mumbai.
Shri Clive Dias, Corporator from Marol accompanied the delegation. Shri John D'Silva briefed the Minister about the KBMM and its activities. Shri Suresh Shetty promised to take up the matter with Honourable Chief Minister Shri Ashok Chavan.
