Sr M. Philomille B.S. - age 94 (Josephine Mary Carvalho)

St Raymond's Convent, Vamanjoor, Mangalore

Sr M Philomille passed away on Saturday, August 14^th 2010 at 4.30am. Funeral was held on August 14^th at St Raymond's Convent Vamanjoor, Mangalore, at 3.30pm.

Sr M Philomille hails from Kundapur, daughter of Late Mr Xavier Carvalho and Late Regina Carvalho. She joined the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore on 10.01.1934. She served as a teacher for many years and won the hearts of many students in places like, Bendur, Bajpe, Kinnigoly, Kulshekar, Gadenahally (Hassan), Taccode and Moodubelle. After her retirement, she spent her time in prayer at Gurpur, Basrur and Vamanjoor. A simple child like soul is flown to Heaven interceding for all of us. May her soul rest in peace!
