37th Anniversary Celebrations of Mangalorean Welfare Association, Mumbai
Mumbai:- On the occasion of 31st anniversary of The Mangalorean welfare association(R), Vidyavihar, Mumbai, A 'Konkani Musical Night' was organized to entertain the guests.
Mr. Walter Vaz were the Chief Guest of the program, Mrs. Jacintha D'Souza, Jess Tutorial, Ghatkopar, were the Guest of Honour, Adv. Baptist D'Souza, President, MWA, gave the welcome Speech, Stany Saldanha, Vice-President, MWA, Introduced the Guests of the function, On this occasion 8 children were felicitated with certificates & cash awards.
Guest of Honour Mrs. Jacintha B. D'Souza, Jess Tutorials, Ghatkopar, urged the audience to preserve and support our mother tongue Konkani, and support people who organize Konkani events and also requested Konkani lovers to attend such functions in a large number.
Chief Guest Mr. Walter John Vaz, Managing Director, Waltz Kitchen Gardens Pvt. Ltd., Vasai. said that the community is fare behind in the field of Entrepreneurship and Business, and called upon the youth to take up business and excel in this field.
Konkanis finest Gifted and famous Singers, Wilfred Fernandes, Charles D'Cunha, Ivan Sequeira, Antony Tauro, Kenny, Lancy D'Almeida, Renica D'Souza, Florine Mathias, Aletta D'Souza, Veronica & Milagrin entertained the audience present. Dance was performed by "NACH MOGA NACH' group, Sakinaka, Robert Quadras, Treasurer, MWA, gave the Vote of thanks and stage program was conducted by Secretary, MWA, Vincent Crasta.
